u know what this gave me an idea of, (or like, what i thought was gonna happen for a second there)
mario going into 1 of the sewerpipe thingies in the game and then he gets stuck while coming out and princesspeach takes the opportunity to shit in the toilet to overflow mario with the shit to free him. i got the idea cuz the bathroom stall looked like a mariosewer pipe =P

Also thanks for the design comment. I was thinking of going with the old cartoon design to base it off of, then figured, nah we're going full scale Sonic 1 on this mo-fo.
Also last week Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was announced for all major consoles. It will be a downloadable game, saddly in episodes. But it goes back to its 2D gameplay and looks to be the true successor to the genesis titles.
Am I excited?
YES!
Sonic should be used to being sorrounded by shit with all the his recent games.

Yeah they lost what was great about the series, but here's hoping Sonic 4 brings it all back.
